A Saviour’s Lullaby

A Saviour’s Lullaby was awarded first prize in the Chetham’s School of Music Biennial Carol Competition in 2016, judged by the Director of Music of Wells Cathedral. The work was subsequently broadcast live on BBC primetime television as part of Christmas City. Written for unaccompanied upper and lower voices, the piece combines rich harmonic writing with a gentle, lullaby-like character, creating a warm and contemplative atmosphere reflective of the nativity narrative.
