SENTIMENT

Dedicated to “Prospect Brass” and premiered by the brass band of Chetham's School of Music, “Sentiment” showcases the euphonium as a solo instrument within the traditional brass band setting. The work was also selected for inclusion in a time capsule in St Peter’s Square, commemorating the completion of the Manchester Metrolink. Lyrical and expressive in character, the piece explores the warmth and vocal quality of the euphonium, set against rich and supportive ensemble textures.
