HER VOICE

Words and music by Lucy Farrimond, “Her Voice” was commissioned by Voices of Women in 2023, a project dedicated to championing works by female composers. The piece was subsequently selected for performance at EMPOWER 2024, Manchester. Written for upper voices and piano, “Her Voice” combines rich choral textures with an intimate accompaniment, and uniquely incorporates Farrimond’s own poetry, lending the work a personal and expressive narrative.
