'She’s Got That Northern Soul', a piano quintet written for Farrimond’s debut album 'Where The Heart Roams '(2026), was recorded and premiered by Furness Festival Strings. Inspired by the cultural legacy of Northern Soul and its roots in Wigan, the work is driven by a recurring two-note motif, subtly derived from 'Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)'. Balancing rhythmic energy with more reflective passages, the piece captures both the movement and spirit of the Northern Soul scene, alongside a broader sense of identity rooted in warmth, resilience, and pride.
